The Graham Sustainability Institute is now accepting applications for
the 2015 cohort of the Dow Postdoctoral Fellows in Sustainability.
These fellowships are designed to support a new generation of
sustainability scholars who understand the necessity of collaborating
across disciplines and sectors to address and solve complex
sustainability challenges, with a strong focus on the interface of the
social sciences/humanities and the natural/physical/ engineering
sciences. We are particularly eager to receive more applications from
candidates whose backgrounds are in the social sciences, humanities,
or the arts so we can develop a balanced cohort that covers a truly
broad range of disciplines that coalesce around issues of
sustainability. Applications are being solicited from a national and
international pool and are due on November 17, 2014.
Each Dow Postdoctoral Fellow has a two-year appointment in a U-M
School/College, Department, or Center and a concurrent two-year
appointment as a program fellow, with appointments following
traditional academic cycles. The next cohort of postdoctoral fellows
will begin their term in September, 2015. Information on the program
and application requirements/process is available here. The request
for proposals and a one-page flier suitable for posting are attached.
Questions about the program and/or application process should be
