The Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs at Ohio University in Athens, OH, USA seeks a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Sustainability and Environmental Policy.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. (by August 15, 2014) or equivalent, relevant postdoctoral training, and evidence of scholarly research.
We are particularly interested in candidates with teaching and research experience in environmental sustainability, environmental studies, environmental economics, or related environmental policy areas. We are interested in candidates with experience and interest in interdisciplinary, collaborative, and learning by doing educational approaches. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School’s extensive applied work portfolio, develop an interdisciplinary research program, and teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students at the School.
This is a full-time twelve-month tenure-track engaged faculty appointment in the Voinovich School of Leadership and Public Affairs. The School features a Master of Science in Environmental Studies, Master of Public Administration, Executive Master of Public Administration, undergraduate certificate in Environmental Studies, graduate certificate in Environmental Sustainability, Honors Tutorial Program in Environmental Studies, and undergraduate certificate in Entrepreneurship (in collaboration with the College of Business). Candidates should be comfortable working in an applied research environment that involves collaborating within the School and across the university with numerous faculty, professional staff, students, and external partners.
