The International Society for Environmental Ethics is seeking commentators on papers that will be presented at its 11th Annual Meeting that will be held June 17-20, 2014 at the Highlands Presbyterian Retreat Center in Allenspark, Colorado, USA.
This year’s theme is the Anthropocene. Commentators will be reflecting upon papers surrounding the moral significance of the Anthropocene—the ethics of geoengineering, questions about wildness and wilderness, the morality of species extinctions, and so forth.
If you are interested in serving as a commentator on a paper, please contact Philip Cafaro at philip.cafaro@colostate.edu.
Full papers will be available on the ISEE website one month prior to the conference. Papers will be summarized by respondents at the conference rather than read in their entirety, in order to maximize time for discussion.
Join your fellow environmental philosophers at this year’s annual ISEE conference. Come to the mountains and get their good tidings!
