JOB – Environmental Humanities, University of Utah

University_of_Utah logoThe Environmental Humanities Graduate Program seeks to add a new faculty member, beginning fall 2014, who will assume a leadership role in the program, perhaps as the next Director.  The successful candidate will be appointed to the home department within the College of Humanities most relevant to his/her research and teaching specialization.  We are especially interested in accomplished scholar/teachers whose research and teaching methods utilize an interdisciplinary approach to environmental issues, field-based and community-engaged learning, and whose record includes innovative administrative service.

The Environmental Humanities Program is the first of its kind in the country, with a substantial endowment, and a renowned group of permanent faculty and visiting scholars.  It has a beautiful new education center in the Centennial Valley of Montana and will participate in the curriculum offered at the University’s South Korean campus, opening in 2014.

To learn more about the program, see its 2012-2013 annual report.
