Qualifications

• Required: PhD in Philosophy at time of appointment
• Preferred: The successful candidate will be able to teach not only introductory courses, but upper division courses in theoretical and applied ethics (particularly environmental ethics) and in social and political philosophy.  Experience teaching courses in feminism and philosophy, and in non-western philosophy is highly desirable.  The department prides itself on maintaining a student centered atmosphere.  The successful candidate will be expected to become an active and central part of that culture.
