L’Oréal USA seeks an intern to provide research assistance, writing/materials development and public policy/legislative support on the issue of extended producer responsibility (EPR) for beauty and cosmestics’ packaging and paper. EPR is a system to shift the costs of waste and management from consumers to producers to drive down environmental costs. EPR advocates believe that producers are in the best position to minimize waste and maximize recyclability through financial responsibility.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Eligible participants must be enrolled in a graduate program in Public Affairs, Sustainability, Environmental Policy or something similar.
Strong organizational and writing skills.
Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated.
Willingness to work as a member of a team.
Prior professional experience in an office setting preferred.
Ability to work independently, in a fast-paced and results-driven environment.
