The College of Science and General Studies of Alfaisal University offers a full-time, non-tenure track Assistant Professor of Philosophy position, with appointment to begin fall semester 2012.  AOS/AOC: Applied and Professional Ethics, with competence in multiple areas among the following: Biomedical Ethics, Business Ethics, Computing Ethics, Environmental Ethics, and Engineering Ethics.  Tripartite workload assignment, including teaching, university service, and research.  The teaching load for this position is 3/3.  Applicants should hold the Ph.D. or equivalent and have teaching experience.  Salary competitive.  The faculty appointment is a continuing appointment subject to the usual probationary period of performance review.  While Alfaisal University has no tenure system of faculty appointments, it does have a faculty promotion process that allows for faculty advancement in rank.  Al Faisal University is a new private, research-intensive university offering degrees in several colleges—Science and General Studies; Medicine; Engineering; and Business.
