The ninth annual meeting returns to the Highlands Center in Allenspark, on the border of the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, USA. The Highlands Center is a retreat center that includes rooms, meeting space, and a cafeteria. Longs Peak (elev. 14259 feet/4346 meters) hovers above the conference center and is within hiking distance.
We have reserved 24 rooms, each of which comfortably houses one to three guests. In addition, camping facilities are available nearby at Rocky Mountain National Park. Participants and attendees, including those not staying at the Highlands Center, need to pre-purchase meals and the conference dinner. All told, 18 papers, divided between themed sessions and general session papers, will be presented and commented on.
Afternoons will be free so that participants can relax or explore the area. Wednesday evening, June 13th, the film Green Fire: Aldo Leopold and a Land Ethic for Our Time will be screened; Thursday, June 14th, we will have dinner at Dunraven Inn in Estes Park.
