1. Research Fellow: Egalitarianism and Climate Justice
The Research Fellow will be employed on the Australian Research Council Funded project entitled ‘Egalitarianism and Climate Justice’. The chief investigators on the project are Prof Garrett Cullity, Dr Iwao Hirose, Dr Simon Keller and Dr Jeremy Moss. The Research Fellow will be based at The University of Melbourne under the supervision of Dr Jeremy Moss at the Social Justice Initiative.
The aim of the project is to provide a new framework for how to fairly distribute the costs of responding to climate change, and to contribute to the understanding of a range of moral issues associated with climate change. Topics covered by the project include: models of how to distribute the burdens of climate change between and within nations, egalitarian discussions of climate change, understanding climate scepticism and the harms caused by climate change. The incumbent will be expected to contribute to the research of these or other related topics.

2. Research Fellow: Climate Change and Social Justice
The Research Fellow will be employed on the Zero Carbon Australia (ZCA) & Social Equity research project, and will have a particular focus on ethical issues associated with the transition to a zero carbon society. The research will be informed by national and international developments in relevant fields. It will engage with relevant community groups, non-government sectors and academics in order to foster productive collaboration between the research and community sectors. The Research Fellow will be based at The University of Melbourne under the supervision of Dr Jeremy Moss at the Social Justice Initiative.
The Research Fellow will be expected to produce reports and publications on the ethical issues associated with the research, and to work closely with Dr Moss and the ZCA research group.
