Utica College, a dynamic, student-centered private institution in Upstate New York, seeks applications for a tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in its Philosophy Department. Preference will be given to candidates with competence in the analytic tradition. Strong preference will be given to applicants who have a Ph.D. by August 1, 2012. A commitment to quality undergraduate teaching is primary, but active professional scholarship is also required. AOS: Ethical theory and applied ethics. AOC: Health Care Ethics, Environmental Ethics; must be ready to assume leadership of the Institute of Applied Ethics. 4/4 teaching load will include introduction to ethics and professional ethics.
