The Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA, seeks to hire a full-time writer/editor to support its research mission. Responsibilities include working with members of the Institute to develop and prepare research proposals, helping Institute members to find appropriate venues for submission of proposals, editing the Institute periodical, creating and updating Institute materials, including its web page, and managing the external relations of the Institute. Writing and editing skills are crucial to the position; an advanced background in philosophy, political theory, or policy studies would be preferred. Salary is competitive. The position will start as soon as possible after July 1.
