VIDEOCAST – Environmental Impact of U.S. Immigration Policies

Phil Cafaro, associate professor of philosophy at Colorado State University, made a presentation to the National Press Club at Washington D.C. in August 2009.  The presentation is part of the series “Immigration, Population, and the Environment: Experts to Debate Impact of Current Policies” sponsored by the Center for Immigration Studies.

Phil’s talk, “The Environmental Argument for Reducing Immigration into the United States,” explores how current U.S. immigration policies ignore the environmental impact of immigration-driven population growth, despite the fact that environmental concerns are high on the Obama Administrations priority list.
